One of our signature moves when working on a mulch refreshing project is to remove plastic edging and replace it with a “country edge.” Mulch edging can tend to pop up out of place in the spring when the ground thaws, and it can become cracked over time, or battered by your lawn mower. A country edge, however, is a much more simple and elegant solution. It will need to be re-dug out from time to time, but there are zero materials needed and that means you’ll never have any cracked edging to replace.
